The Eastern Iowa Science and Engineering
Fair (EISEF) is a science and engineering project competition for students
in grades 6–12 from schools throughout eastern Iowa. Each March the students
come to the Fair to exhibit the results of their experiments and compete for
prizes. The top prize: a trip to the Intel International Science and Engineering
Fair the following May, where they compete with the best students from around
the world.
Why do we do this?

On March 11, EISEF Senior Champion Xiaomeng Zeng placed 7th
(out of 40 finalists) in the Intel Science Talent Search.
