It’s early, only 8:04. The judges have signed up to judge just a couple of exhibits.

Senior divisions

8:35: Division Lead Jerry Roland (left) watches as his judges select exhibits. They do this by placing their colored, numbered dots beside the selected exhibits; later, after they interview the students, they’ll write the scores beside the dots.

Most of the Senior Biological exhibits have 2 judges signed up — good progress for this point. Senior Physical (background right) also looks good.

Junior Biological division

8:48: Most Junior Biological exhibits have at least 3 judges signed up; many have 4. This is excellent progress.

These display boards are not secured to the wall — they’re just leaning against it. We checked, and they seemed heavy enough that we figured nobody would dislodge them accidentally. And in fact nobody dislodged them at all.
