• Summary of the 2008 Fair:
  • The Fair took place on Saturday, March 15, 2008—16 years ago.
  • Congratulations to our 2008 Senior Champions!

	Xiaomeng Zeng from Iowa City and Shelby Sieren from Keota.
They won at EISEF in Cedar Rapids. Now they’re headed to the International Science and Engineering Fair in Atlanta, May 11–17.

• Statistics:
  • 217 students attended, with 171 exhibits.
  • 106 judges interviewed them.
  • They received 180 awards in all.
• Lists:
  • All the exhibits and awards at the fair.
  • EISEF 2008 Photo Album. (This will take a couple of weeks.)
• Did you take photos at the Fair? If you’d like to share them, we’d love to see them. E-mail them to our webmaster, and maybe we’ll include them in our photo album.
• Senior and Junior Champions: Now you have to get ready to go to Atlanta, and you have to meet some strict deadlines. Our Post-Fair Info page tells all about it.

• Time to enter your project in the Fair! Here are some links to guide you:
  • Read the Students & Teachers page and follow its directions.
  • Check the Forms Guide to find out what forms and certificates you need to fill and when.
  • Finish your experiment and complete your paperwork.
  • Fill out the Student Entry Form? and submit it.
  • Mail us copies of your Student Entry Signature Pages and all your other paperwork. The deadline is February 24, 2008.
    • What to do if you’re late.
  • Bring the originals of all paperwork with you to the Fair on March 15, 2008.

• Senior students & teachers: You need to review the ISEF rules—they’ve changed for 2008.
  • The ISEF 2008 Rules and Guidelines FAQ has a link “Can I use last year’s forms?” (It strongly recommends using the 2008 forms.)
    • The EISEF Forms Guide requires you to use the 2008 ISEF forms.
  • The ISEF website has a document that highlights the rules changes for 2008.

• It’s time to start the 2008 EISEF season. Come to the first EISEF Board meeting and see what it takes to put on a science fair!
