Science Service Website
Science Service is a non-profit organization dedicated to advancing the understanding and appreciation of science among people of all ages through publications and educational programs.  This site includes information on the Intel International Science and Engineering Fair, the Intel Science Talent Search, the Discovery Young Scientist Challenge, and the Directory of Science Training Programs.

Intel International Science and Engineering Fair (ISEF)
Each year, EISEF sends up to four students to the Intel International Science and Engineering Fair (Intel ISEF), which is the world's largest pre-college celebration of science. Held annually in May, the Intel ISEF brings together over 1,200 students from 40 nations to compete for scholarships, tuition grants, internships, scientific field trips and the grand prize: $50,000 college scholarship and a high-performance computer.

ISEF Document Library
EISEF uses most of the same rules and forms as ISEF does.  These documents help you to get started with your project for EISEF and to apply for ISEF.

SRC 101 PowerPoint Presentation
The ISEF Scientific Review Committee (SRC) has made available an SRC 101 PowerPoint presentation that can be a tool in giving workshops on the Rules and Guidelines. Share with your IRB and SRC members, teachers, and any others interested in an overview of the International Rules. (Note: MS PowerPoint needs to be installed on your machine to view this.)

Discovery Channel School:  Young Scientist Challenge
The Discovery Channel Young Scientist Challenge is the only science contest of its kind for students in grades 5 through 8, fostering the exploration, understanding and communication of science among America's youth. This Web site offers all the info teachers and students will need to get involved!

State Science and Technology Fair of Iowa (SSTFI)
The SSTFI is the state science fair for Iowa.  The SSTFI is affliated with the Discovery Channel Young Scientist Challenge (DYSC), for students in grades 6 through 8, and with the Intel International Science and Engineering Fair (ISEF), for students in grades 9 through 12.

California State Science Fair
The California State Science Fair has an excellent resource page of science fair links to help you get started, including other fair and school district resource pages.

Internet Scout Project

Science News for Kids is a Web site devoted to science news for children of ages 9 to 13.  Our goal is to offer timely items of interest to kids, accompanied by suggestions for hands-on activities, books, articles, Web resources, and other useful materials.

Wansink Consumer Education Foundation
The Consumer Education Foundation offers a limited number of small expense-related scholarships to elementary and secondary students who are conducting school-based projects aimed at helping make people smarter when it comes to food and to shopping choices. Science Fair Scholarships are typically in the range of $25-75 and the projects are related to science fairs or nutrition-related school projects.
