Twentieth-Century Relics
We found some EISEF lists — relics, if you will — that are older than any students who take part now. We decided the year 2000 should mark the beginning of EISEF’s current era:
That year started a new century and a new millennium. (Don’t tell me about the 2000 vs 2001 controversy. In 1971, I argued about it with my 8th-grade math teacher — and I convinced him I was right.)
EISEF introduced its first logo and trading pin that year.
This writer started working for EISEF with the 2000 season; I have no memory of the fair before that. So I think 2000 is a good starting point.
Anything we dig up, recover, or find that dates to before 2000, we’ll call “relics”, with a special relics page to access them. Enjoy your visit!
