Bailey Beckman has registered. Now she’s off to Hall B to set up her exhibit.
One tiny end of Hall B. Other exhibits are in Hall D/E on another floor. 1400 exhibits take up a lot of floor space!
Gail Kunch and Bailey share a laugh as they carry the pieces of Bailey’s exhibit to her assigned location.
In the background an overhead sign marks the Hub: the command center of Hall B, which includes first aid, lost and found, and tools & supplies to help the finalists assemble and repair their exhibits. Hall D/E includes its own Hub.
Some assembly required
Bailey’s main display board is too big to transport in one piece. Here she’s taping dowels to the back to join the pieces together. At the left you can see marks from when she did this before at EISEF and the state fair in Ames.
Gail unrolls the display sheet in preparation to attach it to the board. In the background Jenna Andersen fights boredom.
All set up! But Bailey’s not finished: the inspectors still have to come and post the certificates that make it all legal.
