I hope your new year is off to a good start! We are pleased to share with you the Project Material Guidelines for Regeneron ISEF 2022. You can find them here: https://sspcdn.blob.core.windows.net/files/Documents/SEP/ISEF/2022/Resources/Project-Material-Guidelines.pdf. As a reminder, all finalists must complete a virtual booth regardless of whether they are participating virtually or in-person. This document lists the materials that must be uploaded to the virtual booth and provides guidance on each part. Please note that in-person finalists are also required to create a physical board for in-person judging and presentation.
We are also pleased to share with you more details about the dates and format of both virtual and in-person judging. Virtual judging will take place the week prior to the in-person event on Wednesday, May 4 and Thursday, May 5. Categories will be split across the two days with any given category being completed in one day. We anticipate changes in the format of the day compared to Regeneron ISEF 2021 and are finalizing those details. We will share that information once final. In-person judging will take place on Tuesday, May 10. The format of in-person judging remains unchanged from previous in-person ISEFs.
Lastly, we know that there are many questions around the COVID-19 protocol at Regeneron ISEF 2022. You can find our up-to-date policy here: https://www.societyforscience.org/isef/2022-covid-19-policy/. That webpage will be continuously updated as we finalize the protocol. We are also investigating a variety of travel insurance options that fairs can select to participate in that might address some of the concerns around the expenses related to a student being affected during the trip.
