Subject: Regeneron ISEF: Guide for Project Materials and Display & Safety and Scientific Review Committee Membership Applications
Dear Fair Directors and Contacts,
As we anticipate the fast-approaching science fair season, we have a few updates and opportunities to share. The Executive Committee of the Regeneron Display & Safety Committee and the Regeneron Scientific Review Committees both met this fall and have supported Society staff in making a few updates to the Guide for Project Materials.
Within the Guide, we have added a section on the physical display board in addition to providing guidance on the virtual display.Judges have increasingly commented that the display boards are illegible due to the volume of materials being provided on the board in small fonts. The guidelines for the physical board are provided as recommendations and not requirements.
We have also made two key changes to the Display & Safety regulations within the International Rules that you will see reflected in the document posted online and that are explained within the Guide for Project Materials:
- Acknowledgements on the project display are no longer prohibited; in alignment with the ISEF ethics statement, students may recognize those that have supported their work in a section on the display.
- Student-created logos are to be properly credited within the photograph/image display requirements but are no longer restricted to one instance on the display.
Given the volume of projects to be reviewed by the SRC and Display & Safety Committee each Spring, we also are recruiting for members of the Regeneron ISEF Display & Safety Committee and for the Regeneron ISEF Scientific Review Committee (as members and readers). We have created online applications for both committees that are now available.
