| Effectiveness if different pans on egg cooking
| Description:
| This project was inspired by the fact that so many people claim that they know the best way to make eggs. Seeing this I was determined to make the best egg. To make the best egg we split up the different variables to change to see which is the best. For this year I would be changing the type of pan making the egg, and to do this every step has to be the exact same except for the pan making the egg. To make these eggs, I would start by heating the hotplate to 200 degrees celsius and while that was heating up I would measure out exactly 60 millimeters of egg beaters in a 100-milliliter graduated cylinder and weigh that mixture. I would record the mass of the eggs. By this time, the hotplate would be heated to the temperature that is needed so I would place the pan on the hotplate and spread out two milliliters of vegetable oil. After, I would pour the egg solution into the pan and wait six minutes for the eggs to cook. After six minutes, I would mix the eggs around and pour them into a measuring cup and weigh the mass of eggs and record the mass. Finally, I would pour the egg mixture into 100 milliliters of water in a 200-milliliter graduated cylinder to help measure the final mass of the cooked eggs.

| Evaluation of post packaging methods at reducing mold growth in cheeses
| Description:
| Our science fair project is based on the proper storing of Colby and Swiss cheese. Our question we are trying to answer is, “what is the best method of post-packaging to reduce fungi growth in colby and swiss cheese?” The different packaging products we are testing are a Ziploc plastic bag, and a wax paper bag specifically designed for storing cheese. We tested both kinds of cheese three times. For the Swiss cheese, we had the control which was simply the block of cheese on a paper plate, another block of Swiss cheese in the Ziploc bag, and a third block of Swiss cheese in the cheese bag. We repeated this with the Colby cheese as well which totaled up to six different tests. For each test, the cheese was cut into 30 grams and placed into a blender with a 1:10 dilution of distilled water and blended it for one minute. Once it was done blending, we put 1 ml of the solution onto a film-like petri dish. We then transferred the film to the incubator and checked on it five days later. These steps were performed for each of the six tests. On the fifth day of incubation, we examined them and took pictures.

| Study on the Effect of a Further Processed Poultry Product on the Degradation of Cooking Oils
| Description:
| Our research question is, How many times can you reuse frying oil and does what oil we use have an effect on this? For our lab, we tested three different oils: corn oil, vegetable oil, and avocado oil. We tested every oil six times including the control group. For every test, we used chicken breast nuggets. We hypothesized that the vegetable oil would degrade slower than the other two oils and be able to be rescued more than five times. To determine whether this was true, we performed two tests. We first took 3M Low Range Frying Oil Quality Test Strips, then submerged each one for five seconds into the deep fryer with the oil after we had fried the nuggets. We then set the test strip down on parchment paper and waited for the color to change. For our next test, we took a 5 ml sample of the oil in a test tube after every batch in order to see how the color changed.

| Indication of Cosmetic Source on Microorganism Content
| Description:
| Cosmetic and personal care product markets were a 518.6 billion dollar industry in 2022. Of this market share interest in clean products related to content and development has been of rising concern. Consumers want to know what they are using on and in their bodies and want products to remain viable for a long period of time due to financial investment. This research is significant because issues with chemical, bacterial contamination, allergies, and products as well as impacts on the environment have been at the forefront of marketing and news. Literature reviews reveal many scientists agree that there should be more precautions on cosmetics for the people that use them and the people that create them. Finding microorganism content in cosmetic products is crucial since consumers lack hygiene when dealing with makeup products. This research aims to figure out how much microorganism presence is contained in makeup brands and how cosmetic products support microorganism growth once contaminated. New and used cosmetics were inoculated with mold and K12 E. coli to observe any ability to harbor bacterial or fungal colonies. Used cosmetics were inoculated on nutrient agar and assessed for colony count and percent coverage using ImageJ software. Results indicated both E. coli and mold developed in inoculated samples. New versus used cosmetics differed greatly in microorganism content. Spectrophotometer testing of makeup samples indicated cosmetics

I will the run samples of the honey through the HPLC to analyze if traces of glyphosate, chemicals found in many pesticides used on various crops around the country, are found in the honey samples.
