In January, the International Science and Engineering (ISEF) announced its 2022 policies for attendees during COVID-19. Here are some important ways the policies affect you, our Senior Champions and Junior Champions:
The hybrid ISEF (virtual and in-person)
- You Senior Champions (ISEF calls you “Finalists”) have to choose:
- Will you compete in-person in Atlanta, Georgia?
- Or will you compete virtually, from Iowa?
- Either way, you’ll have to complete a virtual display within the ProjectBoard platform.
- The instructions are 11 pages long: ProjectBoard — Virtual Display Guidelines. Better start reading them right after you win at EISEF.
- If you compete in-person, you’ll also have to provide a physical display board for the exhibit hall in Atlanta. (This is like any other year at ISEF.)
COVID-19 policies (if you go in-person)
- All attendees must be fully vaccinated against COVID-19, at least 14 days before ISEF starts. (You must receive your final dose by April 24.)
- Attendees must wear masks indoors, except while actively eating or drinking.
- The Regeneron ISEF 2022 COVID-19 Policy has the full details.
